Welcome to The Marchant Holliday School, a boarding school where we offer a unique residential experience for students with social, emotional and mental health needs. Located within the heart of somerset, our school provides not just education, but a safe and supportive home away from home.

At MHS, we believe in creating a warm and nurturing environment with structure and routine where students can thrive both academically and socially. Our residential facilities are designed to promote independence, community living, and personal growth.

Here at MHS every child feels valued. They are given a voice, and their opinion matters to us. Their interests can personalise their experience along with the ideas of our highly trained staff, who are here around the clock to provide the highest possible care for your child.

We believe that whilst your children are playing, not only are they having fun and keeping healthy, but they are developing essential life and social skills.

The children are able to participate in a wide variety of activities each day. These activities are created around the ideas and interests of the children. On-site, we have fantastic grounds to play and explore in. We have play equipment to climb and run around on; a sandpit; swings; a trampoline; an indoor heated swimming pool; and our own Quarry where the children can build dens and take part in other woodland activities. At the top of the Quarry, we also have a fire pit where the children enjoy roasting marshmallows and making smores.

We are extremely fortunate to have amazing local parks and attractions around us. The closest being just a 5-minute drive down the road. This provides the children with opportunities to boost their skills outside of school and experience opportunities which they may not have had before.
