On Thursday 5th December pupils from Elm went out to our school field to be met by a range of different animals. The class had the opportunity to pet and hold the different animals.
Pupils were able to stroke guinea pigs, rabbits, sheep and goats. Pupils enjoyed using the brushes to groom the Shetland pony.
The highlight of the day was seeing the pupils’ confidence grow when walking the alpacas around the field. Pupils thoroughly enjoyed these experiences, it was lovely to see them listening to the animal instructor, being careful and gentle around the animals. Pupils used their kind hands and quiet voices to not scare the animals.
