Members of year 6 had a brilliant time in Cornwall at the end of May. We visited the Adventure Bude Activity Centre where we experienced lots of different outdoor pursuits. Some of them, like climbing and high ropes, tested our fears and we were encouraged to overcome these with support from friends and adults. Some needed us to work together to problem solve and perform a task, like carrying a bucket of water around the team trail (anything left in the bucket we got to tip over our instructor Matt) or canoeing on the canal. Mountain boarding and body boarding made us think about balance and coordination. We also got to spend some time relaxing on the beach and playing ball and were able to develop social skills by interacting with other year 6 children from different schools.
