Invincible Trip to The Abbey in Sherborne

This term we have been looking at Christianity and Christmas.  Our Key question for this half term is ‘Has Christmas lost its true meaning?’ So, we visited Sherborne Abbey and the conduit, to see the nativity scene, followed by a visit to Sherborne garden centre where we had to find traditional and non- traditional decorations.

In the Abbey the boys were fascinated by the history and the architecture of the building.  They enjoyed being able to use the movable mirror to look at the impressive ceiling without craning their necks.

The garden centre allowed the boys the opportunity to easily find traditional and non-traditional decorations especially when they were able to find Spiderman and Hulk as well as the three wise men.
